This brand-new four-bedroom home was designed by Moore Design for a compact 372m² site in central Petone, Lower Hutt. The challenge of the small site was met with smart residential architecture that maximises space, sunlight, and family-friendly living. 

Downstairs, two generous living areas open onto decks at both ends of the home, creating strong indoor–outdoor flow and flat lawn areas ideal for family life. The largest living space connects seamlessly with the open-plan kitchen and dining area, while a barn-style sliding door allows for separation when required. The kitchen design includes wide benches, ample storage, a large oven, and a butler’s pantry — tailored for everyday family use. 

Upstairs, the master suite features an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, complemented by three additional bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath and tiled shower. With efficient planning, functional spaces, and contemporary detailing, this project demonstrates how architectural design can deliver a spacious, low-maintenance family home on a modest Petone site.
